INTERIOR
Acura MDX

If you’re looking for a versatile vehicle that can serve as the family car and adventure companion all in one, then these SUVs are at the top of the list. Both the MDX and the Pilot have room for up to seven passengers with their standard configurations, but which one has the better amenities?

Lavish Interior Amenities

The Acura MDX comes standard with leatherette-trimmed sport seats (with leather standard on all but the base trim) and lots of premium amenities. This includes a standard 12-way power-adjustable seat with power lumbar support for both the driver and the front passenger. To create the perfect atmosphere for your drive, both tri-zone automatic climate control and ambient LED cabin lighting come standard as well.

The Honda Pilot offers many comparable features, such as leather seating and tri-zone climate control, but many of these upgraded features aren’t standard. Plus, the Pilot comes standard with only a 6-way manual driver’s seat and the optional power-adjustable front seats of the Pilot only offer 10-way adjustability for the driver and 4-way adjustment for the passenger.

Available Upgrades

If you’re looking for finely crafted interior features, the MDX might be the right SUV for you.

During your drive, you’ll be comfortably in control with the standard leather-wrapped steering wheel. To add more class to the cabin, the seats are also available with contrast stitching and perforated Milano leather upholstery. Ooh la la!

PERFORMANCE
Acura MDX

Both the Acura and the Honda SUV bring a lot to the road, allowing you to choose a performance that melds seamlessly with your driving style. Whether you’re looking for speed or pure power, these SUVs have exactly what you’re looking for.

Powerful & Efficient Performances

The Acura MDX offers an exciting and efficient drive. Under the hood, it features a 3.5L V6 engine that gets up to 290 horsepower. It also comes standard with a 10-speed automatic transmission with Sequential SportShift paddle shifters for a smoother and livelier ride.

The Honda Pilot also runs on a similar 3.5L V6 engine, but it can only get up to 285 horsepower. If you want that extra bit of oomph, the Acura MDX will give you that.

Available Performance

The Acura MDX also offers an available 3.0L turbocharged engine, which has an impressive output of up to 355 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. This engine is also paired with the 10-speed automatic transmission, maintaining your smooth ride.

In comparison, the Honda Pilot only has the standard V6 engine that maxes out at 285 horsepower. For more options and more power, you’ll want to go with the MDX.

TECHNOLOGY
Acura MDX

Of course, you’ll want to stay connected on your next trip. Whether you’re entertaining the kids on the way to your vacation destination or you’re on the way home with a huge grocery haul, you can blast the perfect soundtrack to complement the trip. So, which SUV has the right features to do this?

Infotainment Systems

In the midst of all this luxury, the Acura MDX features a cutting-edge infotainment system. A 12.3-inch HD Dual-Content Center Display comes standard to help find the fastest route and keep you connected to your smartphone while you drive. You can control it all through the unique True Touchpad Interfaceâ„¢, with a concave surface for a more intuitive experience.

The Honda Pilot doesn’t have the same high-tech dashboard. Its 7-inch display is several inches smaller than the Acura’s, and it doesn’t offer touchpad technology.

Keeping You Connected Behind the Wheel

With the Acura MDX, you can easily access and control exciting infotainment features, like:

  • Wireless Apple CarPlay®
  • Wireless Android Autoâ„¢
  • Bluetooth® HandsFreeLink®

While the Honda offers Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, it doesn’t come standard with the wireless capability of the MDX.
