You don’t want to leave the driver’s seat. Your new Acura is just so comfortable to be in, and your heart skips a beat every time you hit the throttle. Looks like you need to take a few days off and hit the road, but where should you go? Do you need ideas for road trip destinations?
Living in Springfield, you can head any direction and find exciting places to visit. Your Acura makes it easy and fun to do just that.
Here are a few top road trip destinations from Springfield, MO.
Mark Twain National Forest
It’s one of the closer places you can visit, but it should not be overlooked. Located just 150 miles east of Springfield, it’s a great place to get in touch with nature. You can hike or bike 750 miles of trails and can sleep under the stars in the campgrounds. You could head out on a day trip, but there’s enough to see and do that you could spend weeks here as well.
Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
Every spring in Houston, Texas (NOT Houston, MO), a massive rodeo takes place that you’ve got to see at least once. There a 19-day Super Series rodeo that crowns the best cowboys and cowgirls in each category. Whether you’re taking in one day of events or a couple weeks, you’re going to love your time in Houston. It’s a bit of a trip in your Acura at 650 miles, but doable in a single day if you want.
History buffs will love Mount Rushmore National Memorial in South Dakota. It’s more than just looking at presidential busts in thousands of tons of stone. It’s a memorial for a few of the greatest men our nation has ever seen. Located in the Black Hills, you’ll also find other attractions including western-style ghost towns and outdoor adventures. It’s a two-day trip to get there, likely. You’ll need to cover about 900 miles of highway northwest of Springfield.
Pacific Coast Highway
This trip is going to take some planning, but it’s one you’ll always remember. On California’s coastline, stretching from Morro Bay to Carmel, is the Pacific Coast Highway. It’s one of the most recognized picturesque highway drives in the world, and your Acura will do it in style and comfort. Bring your camera and snap some pics of the gorgeous scenery. Plan different routes there and back to make the most of your time on the road. It’s nearly 1,800 miles one-way, but it’s totally worth it.
